The most powerful, naturally-aspirated, super GT Ferrari ever made - the 812 Superfast - has been launched in India at Rs 5.2 crore (ex-showroom pan-India). The 812 Superfast is the successor to the F12 Berlinetta, which was on sale in the country since 2015. It is powered by a 6.5-litre, naturally-aspirated V12 petrol engine capable of producing 800PS of power and 718Nm of torque. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 7-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission. All that power and a dry weight of just 1,525kg is enough to launch the 812 Superfast from standstill to a 100kmph in 2.9 seconds, to 200kph in 7.9 seconds and up to a blistering top speed of 340kph. In order to control such bonkers performance, Ferrari has fitted it with the latest generation of their four-wheel steering technology referred to as Virtual Short Wheelbase. Also, to allow drivers to enjoy the 812 Superfast without binning it, Ferrari has equipped the 812 Superfast with the fifth generation of their Slip Slide Control technology that is in charge of traction. The Ferrari 812 Superfast doesn't have any super GT rivals yet thanks to those extreme performance figures, but it does face competition from supercars like the Lamborghini Aventador.
