To better the test drive experience of its e2o Plus electric car, Mahindra Electric (part of the Mahindra Group) has provided virtual reality (VR) devices at select dealership outlets to highlight key features of the car. The carmaker is also providing these devices for users opting for door-step test drives.
Mahindra launched its e2oPlus at a starting price of Rs 5.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The eco-friendly car boasts contemporary styling and four-doors on the exterior while on the inside, it has the touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone integration, navigation system and climate control system carried forward from the existing version. All digital instrument cluster is also added in the new model. Under the hood, details are expectedly the same of that of the existing version – 25.8PS of max power and 70Nm of peak torque. However, the top end P8 gets more powerful 41PS battery with an excellent torque of 91Nm. Like other pure electric vehicles, all variants of the car come with automatic/direct drive, so there is no need for a traditional gearbox. Instead, the e2oPlus gets a drive mode selector, which includes Reverse, Neutral, Forward and Boost.
