Guess which new car was spotted on the Mumbai roads? Well, it is none other then, the much hyped Volkswagen Up!. The car is all set to make its debut at the 2012 Auto Expo to be held in New Delhi in the month of January. Volkswagen Up! is basically the most stylish, latest and smallest car to come from Volkswagen’s basket. The images of Volkswagen Up! which were recently snapped, were mesmerizing for sure. This hatchback car is cute, and is globally available with a three pot.

According to the reports, Volkswagen will officially launch Volkswagen Up! in the Indian car market in 2013. For the time being, the car will be introduced to the Indian consumers at the Auto Expo 2012, New Delhi. This hatchback car is said to be powered with 1 litre of petrol engine and will be available in 2 engine tunes, one which will deliver 59 BHP of power and the other will churn out 74 BHP of maximum power. However, the diesel version of Volkswagen Up! hatchback is still not in the picture, but there are possibilities that Volkswagen might soon introduce the diesel version too.

On the other hand, Volkswagen group car manufacturers, such as SEAT and Skoda are also working hard and planning to come up with their very own cars based on Volkswagen Up! These cars are likely to be known as Skoda Citigo and SEAT Mii. There are also some speculations in the market, which suggested that Volkswagen is busy working on the electric version of Volkswagen Up!
