General Motors India recently came in with Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 BS IV version and also confirmed the launch of Chevrolet Captiva in April, followed by Chevrolet Sail hatchback in June and finally Chevrolet Enjoy MPV during October 2012. Chevrolet Enjoy MPV launch will be further followed by the arrival of Chevrolet Sail sedan. Both Chevrolet Enjoy and Sail twins are crucial for General Motors and have been made in alliance with SAIC. Right now, GM India is busy working on Chevrolet Enjoy, which was recently seen on the roads of Cochin during its test run.

Chevrolet Enjoy or Wulling CN100 will be offered in both diesel and petrol engines. GM India is well aware of the Indian car market condition and is planning to launch the petrol variant first and then follow up with the diesel variant of the MPV. The petrol version of Chevrolet Enjoy will come powered with 1.4 litre of petrol motor that would produce 94.6 BHP of peak power. On the other hand, the diesel variant will feature 1.3 litre of Fiat Multijet engine producing 89 BHP of power. Both the engine will be coupled with intelligent five speed manual transmission.

The major thing that would make GM India worry a bit is the price. The company will have to offer Chevrolet Enjoy with a competitive price as the Indian car market is filled with massive competition in the MPV segment. For example, Maruti will bring in Maruti Ertiga MPV priced between Rs. 7 to Rs 9 lakh, while the Chevrolet Tavera is priced at Rs. 7.51 lakh. Hopefully, GM India will bring in Chevrolet Enjoy with a decent price tag ranging from Rs. 5 to Rs 7 lakh.
