    There are speculations that in the next few months, five new multi-utility vehicles will come to Indian shore as the auto makers are trying to portray the success, which Maruti Ertiga got at the time of its launch in India. Maruti has positioned Ertiga as a life utility vehicle in the market. The vehicle has increased the sales of the company to 35 percent with 10,174 units sales within two months, comprising of current fiscal year. The competition will increase soon for Ertiga and Toyota Innova when Chevrolet's Enjoy, Nissan's Evalia, Ashok Leyland's Stile, Hyundai's Hexa Space and Force Motors' MPV will hit the Indian markets in the same MPV segment.

    The new MPV will be the right blend of price and utility and the vehicle will be according to the Indian buyers. As per the analysts, the customers have been looking for an upgraded model of the hatchback in terms of size and utility. In comparison to Innova, Ertiga is much better car and offers perfect combinations of a personalized vehicle. The seven seater vehicle has an enormous growth in the Indian automobile sector.

    The managing executive officer of marketing & sales at Maruti, Mr. Mayank Pareek said that the compact size and big interior of the Ertiga has made it more popular in the MPV segment. Looking at the sales of Ertiga in Indian market, the other companies are allured towards the growth potential of the MPV market. The first launch in the MPV segment will be of Nissan's Evalia. Speculations are that the Japanese carmaker will launch the vehicle by late in August of this year. The rise in petrol prices and increased excise duty has affected the demands of the cars in India.
