Chevrolet Sail U-VA Hatchback's Teaser Images Ahead of Launch

Chevrolet Sail U-VA hatchback is in the headlines ever since it was showcased at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo, some days back we cracked the launch date of the vehicle, it has been scheduled to launch on 2nd November. Now the GM has showed the glimpse/teasers of the upcoming vehicle on its Indian website along with a video.
The company is planning to position the Sail U-VA right above its flagship hatchback, the Beat to fight with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo, Nissan Micra, Toyota Etios Liva and others.
Chevrolet Sail will come in both diesel and petrol engine options. Where the petrol version will house the similar Smartech 1.2-litre petrol that currently does it duty to the Beat, the diesel version will be powered by the fiat sourced 1.3-litre turbo jet diesel engine, the similar is used by most of its competitors in India.
So having powered by these proven and potent engines, fuel economy of the petrol and diesel versions will be around 18.2kmpl and 22.1kmpl respectively. However the looks aren't extra-ordinary, it manages to look good enough.
And with an expected price of Rs 4.5-6 lakh, we are sure, will help GM India enhance its sales number. GM that has recently launched the facelifted Chevrolet Spark, has also confirmed to launch the Sail sedan and the Enjoy MPV in December.
