DC Design announced that Tia would go on sale by 2016 and is a two-seater sports car. On the launch event, Dilip Chhabria commented, " We are looking to sell 500 units per annum of Eleron and 1,000 units per annum of Tia after its launch in 2016. We have invested Rs 50 crore each for the production of the two models so far and are looking at further investments in the coming time." He also shed light on company's two years before unveiled vehicle, Avanti, which is slated to go on sale by the third quarter of2014.

Under the hood, Tia gets a 1.2-litre turbocharged Euro 5 compliant engine that would belt out a decent power output of 120bhp and 190Nm of peak torque performance. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels of the vehicle enroute a 4-speed automatic transmission. Surprisingly, Tia weighs 950 kgs which appears quite impractical by looking at it. It attains the top speed of 160kmph and conquers the 100kmph barrier from standstill in a time span of 9 seconds. Ground clearance of 200mm also seems adequate. DC Design has priced Tia at Rs. 18 Lakh.
