Mahindra introduces Adventure Edition of Thar
The homegrown manufacturer rolled out the Adventure Edition of its rugged Thar SUV. The Mahindra Thar Adventure Edition is limited to 30 units and is made available at selected dealerships. The Adventure Edition apart from cosmetic upgrades gets a new Java Brown colour with stylish Adventure body decals. The Adventure Edition is only available with CRDe trim.

Apart from the new color option, Mahindra Thar Adventure Edition also features tail lamp protectors, chaff screen, seat covers with black and orange stitching, extended wheel arches, moulded floor mats and new centre console. The updated Thar also embraces 2D map and compass to explore the road less travelled.
As said above, the power comes from the potent 2.5-litre CRDe engine which churns a max power of 103bhp with peak torque of 247Nm. The engine is mated to five-speed manual gearbox. With the ground clearance of 200mm, the SUV glides effortlessly on the uneven path.
Though Mahindra has not revealed the prices, but seeing the extra features it packs, we assume the Adventure Edition is about Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 expensive than the standard model. The Delhi Ex-showroom price of CRDe model is Rs.7.37 Lac.
In the last month of September, the home grown manufacturer witnessed a positive growth of 4 per cent. The automaker sold 44,911 units compared to 43,289 units during September 2013.
