Mahindra Nuvosport Bookings Commence at Rs. 10,000

After variant details of the Mahindra NuvoSport surfaced online, reports suggest that certain dealers are accepting bookings for the new compact SUV.  The Mahindra Nuvosport will be launched on April 4, 2016.  In certain parts of the country, dealers are accepting a minimum booking amount of INR  10,000 for the compact SUV. It should be noted that these bookings are from the dealer’s end and are unofficial. According to the automaker’s website, official bookings for the NuvoSport will  commence on the day of its launch.

The Mahindra Nuvosport is the next generation of the company’s Quanto compact SUV and the anticipation is building up amongst consumers. The new Mahindra  is expected to be launched with a 100 bhp, 1.5-litre diesel motor, which will be made available across six variants. It  will be offered with a 7-seat layout and might come with safety features like ABS as standard.

Spyshots car have also revealed that the top-end model will get creature comforts such as a  touchscreen infotainment system, new alloy wheels, steering mounted controls and tilt steering; all of which will give it a much more premium look. Mahindra NuvoSport also comes with aesthetic updates, which include elements such as  split headlamps, redesigned grille, LED DRLs, revamped bumper with an integrated skid plate etc. All of these further enhance its  rugged and sporty appeal.

The NuvoSport will also be offered with an AMT gearbox. This is sure to  assist city commuting by eliminating the need for  constant gear changes. As  this unit is an automated manual transmission, the reduction in overall fuel economy is expected to be marginal. The car will rival the likes of Ford EcoSport and recently launched Maruti Vitara Brezza in the  sub-4 metre SUV segment.
