Maruti Eeco to be displayed at Delhi Auto Expo
Maruti Suzuki, the leading car maker in India, is all prepared to launch a new family car in India. The new car is named as Maruti Eeco. The new family car will be powered by a 1,200cc petrol engine and will have around Rs 4 lakh price tag. As other cars of the company, this will also comply with BS-IV emission norms which is to come into force from April 2010. The India bound C segment car, Maruti Eeco, has been under development for the past three years. This car will come with two types of seating arrangements- two-row and three row seating- and will accommodate five and seven passengers respectively.

The news has been confirmed by a senior company official. Mr IV Rao, MEO (engineering), Maruti Suzuki, told that the yet-to-launch car is a result of expertise of the engineers of the company and reflect the vision of Maruti's parent company Suzuki. Maruti Suzuki might launch Maruti Eeco in upcoming Delhi Auto Expo. Apart from Maruti Eeco, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo are to be showcased in the show.
