Volkswagen Polo launched at Rs 4.34 lakh
Volkswagen, German auto major, has disclosed the pricing of its new hatchback car - Volkswagen Polo. The car is priced between Rs 4.34 and Rs 6.70 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The hatchback car will be available in a 1.2 litre mill in petrol and diesel variants. The car is positioned against the likes of Honda Jazz, Maruti Swift, Maruti Ritz, Hyundai i10 and Hyundai i20. The base petrol variant of the Volkswagen Polo has a price tag of Rs 4.34 lakh while the diesel variant of the car is priced at Rs 5.32 lakh.

As per the company, the delivery of the petrol car will be commenced from March while the diesel operated car will be delivered in May. The hatchback was displayed at Delhi Auto Expo 2010 with much pump and show. The car is manufactured at the company's Chakan plant in Maharashtra and rolled out first car in this month only. The Volkswagen Polo is equipped with green-tinted heat-blocking glass, tilt and telescopic steering wheel.
