Volkswagen to disclose price of Polo on February 23

Volkswagen, Germany based carmaker is reportedly disclosing price of its upcoming hatchback model Volkswagen Polo in India on February 23. Company is working hard on its plans of launching Polo model with a competitive price tag so that it can sustain the tough competition of compact hatchback segment. Though till now there is no disclosure regarding the price of Polo from the company's side but it is expected that it will be launched in a price range of Rs 4.5 to Rs 6 lakhs in India.

The Volkswagen Polo model was first showcased in India at the Delhi Auto Expo, last month where it received a warm response from automobile enthusiasts and auto experts. It is expected that the  Polo model will be launched with three engine options including 1.2-litre (75bhp) petrol engine, 1.2-litre (75bhp) diesel engine and a 1.6-litre (104bhp) petrol engine. As per the reports cars powered with both of the 1.4 litre engines will be launched first and then Volkswagen Polo with 1.6-litre 104bhp petrol engine will follow.

After its launch in India the Volkswagen Polo model will compete with its popular cars like Maruti Swift, Maruti Ritz, Hyundai i20, Fiat Grande Punto and Chevrolet Beat. Always committed to its 'Quality Philosophy' Volkswagen India recently received ISO 9001:2008 certification for sublime quality of its Pune Plant. This certification is an assurance of quality of products and of processes followed in the plant showing the commitment level of  Volkswagen employees to maintain the sublime quality at company's plant in Pune.
