VW to roll out limited edition of Polo and Vento
Volkswagen is glad with the sales of its cars this year and want to continue the fervour among its customers as festive season is about to kick-off. The German car manufacturer, is ready to dole out the limited edition of two new variants of its hatchback Volkswagen Polo and sedan Volkswagen Vento.

Neeraj Garg, the Director Board member of Volkswagen Group (sales) in India uttered on the sidelines of annual summit of SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) that from September 8 Volkswagen will release ‘Volkswagen Polo Breeze’ and ‘Volkswagen Vento Breeze’. Both the cars will be the petrol variants with value additions worth Rs 40,000. However this scheme would not affect the existing price of both the cars. At present, Volkswagen Polo is available at a starting price of Rs 4.57 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and the base variant of its sedan Volkswagen Vento comes with a tag of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Earlier also the Volkswagen Vento rolled out in the market with such offers during the IPL season.

Volkswagen has sold about 54,000 units in the first eight months of this year, as against 32,500 units sold entirely in 2010. However, Garg said that in the first six days of the ongoing month, reports from Southern and Western India have not been as good as expected for the industry, where the festive season has already started. Instead of this, the company is confident of maintaining this level of growth with fresh models like Volkswagen Jetta and Volkswagen Passat doing well in market.
