    Chevrolet to launch new cars in LPG, Diesel and Electric car segment

    General Motors, is planning to come with various new cars and variants within two years of time. The German car marvel is coming with variety of vehicles which will be launched in the domestic car market. In India, General Motors will be coming with new variants of its cars in petrol, diesel, CNG, LPG and electric options.

    In April 2011, the General Motors will come with its battery operated car. It is speculated that it will be Chevrolet Beat EV or the Chevrolet Sail EV. Once the concept of the car will be unveiled, General Motors will start the manufacturing of the car. General Motors will soon launch the Chevrolet Beat LPG version by 2011 January. The company is also expected to come with 3-cylinder Chevrolet Beat diesel engine which is thought to be out by next year.

    General Motors has for a long time wanting to launch the diesel engine in its car models as this was a hollowness which was felt in the compact cars of the company.

    The company in next two years time is expecting to launch sedans, multi utility vehicles, vans and pick up trucks and more. The expansion plans of the company is to utilize the growth of the domestic market. General Motors is not only enhancing in its portfolio but also in its dealership networks in India. Currently the company has 211 dealerships across India, which it plans to increase to 240 dealerships. General Motors craftsmanship and technological prowess is the proof of the intelligent machines the company builds. The company offers variety of cars which includes hatchbacks, the sedan and SUVs. These cars include Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Aveo-U-VA, Chevrolet Beat, Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Tavera Neo 2 and Chevrolet Captiva. These stylish cars are suffixed with advanced technology and varied features.

    In the wake of expanding its wings in India, GM is also giving a price hike to all its models. The hike is expected to be 1.5 to 3 per cent in all its car models. The company is revising its price tags of all the models because of the cost pressure in the raw materials and other production cost.
