Maruti Ciaz spotted shotting for TVC; Ranveer Singh on-board!
Maruti Ciaz was spotted in the shooting of its TV commercial in a brown color with Ranveer Singh being the brand ambassador for Ciaz. As the launch is approaching company has been teasing this mid-size sedan; MSI is using #CoolCatsInTown to promote Ciaz. Moreover, the launch of Ciaz is expected in the first week of September while the booking of the car iare likely to begin soon.

Still under the wraps, the expected engine line-up for the Ciaz is likely to be borrowed straight from the Ertiga MPV. On the diesel front, the Fiat borrowed 1.3L Multi-jet dubbed as DDiS will be doing the duty. This motor with VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) as in the Ertiga produces 88.8bhp and 200Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed.
Petrol trims are likely to get K-series – K14 from the Ertiga. The 1.4 liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine pumps out 93.5bhp and 130Nm of max torque, like the diesel this one is also mated to a five-speed manual box. We can expect an automatic CVT on the Ciaz maybe at the launch or later.
Moreover, about the fuel efficiency, nowadays there's a new trend claiming new height when it comes to diesel, expect a decent one from Ciaz as Multijet engine has been in the country from quite a long time and we all know how far this engine can stretch. Major competitor of Ciaz is chart topping Honda City, speaking in this context Ciaz looks at par with City when it comes to features, it might excel on few fronts as well!
