The new beauty on wheels went under the cosmetic change which has added on to the exclusivity of the car. The preceding car model has gone through the similar transformation in design which is exhibited on the Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Touareg and Volkswagen Polo. The new car is endowed with the Volkswagen 'BlueMotion' trademark technology. The BlueMotion technology helps in reducing the carbon-dioxide and enhances the fuel economy.

The antecedent failed to grab the attention of the Indian masses in the luxury car segment. With the launch of the upgraded version of Volkswagen Passat in D segment, the German auto company expects to create a niche for itself. The older version of Passat was unable to give a tough competition to its counterparts such as Honda Accord and Skoda Superb. The new Volkswagen Passat is back with a vengeance and has been priced smartly by the German car maker. The uniqueness of the new luxury on wheels is that it is an eco friendly car which offers low emissions. As per the reports available, Volkswagen is also mulling over to introduce a Think Blue campaign to support the Volkswagen Passat launch.
