According to the auto industry reports, auto major Volkswagen has registered 4,000 bookings for its newly launched Volkswagen Vento. The waiting period of Volkswagen Polo has extended into months and now the huge bookings of Vento will create more pressure on the company. Most probably, the waiting periods are likely to rise. The segment of Volkswagen Vento has got rivals like Hyundai, Maruti, Fiat, Honda and Ford along with some of their fine products. Volkswagen has begun its second shift at the Chakan facility. The company is finding it difficult to meet the rising demand. It has been able to deliver merely 11,000 cars out of the 19,000 orders.
